Bodyweight EMOM Workout [20 Minutes]

I knowwwww I say this about a lot [if not all] of my workouts but when I say this is a BANGER of a workout, I’m not joking. If I were forced to categorize it, I’d say there’s a strong potential that this falls into spot #2 for hardest live workout we’ve ever done [find the rest on that list here].

I was sore for many days after but please don’t let that scare you off because guess what?! Just like all of my other workouts there are modifications offered for ALL fitness levels && if you don’t like my offerings, you are totally welcome to add your own. The goal here isn’t to kill yourself [something I need to be reminded of daily] rather, it’s to move your body in a way that feels good for you for 20 solid minutes. Allow me to repeat that for all of us… the goal of your workouts shouldn’t be to kill yourself, but rather to move your body in a way that feels good FOR YOU for a set amount of time. 

The great thing about workouts like this is that maybe your first time through, you use modifications for every single movement… but then as you continue to gain strength [and confidence] you start progressing. Progress is taking 1 pushup from your toes when you’ve consistently been doing them all from your knees, it’s crushing 1 belly flop burpee when you’ve been comfortable walking them out, it’s jumping 1 lunge when you’ve never done that before… progress is progress, no matter how big or small because over time it will amount to significant change. 

20' EMOM Workout 

[Min 1] 25 Jumping Lunges, then cossack squats

[Min 2] 20 sit-ups, then glute bridges 

[Min 3] 15 push-ups, plank hold

[Min 4] 10 burpees, bodyweight squats

Repeat 5x Through.

*IF any of these numbers don't work for you, feel free to scale back. As a rule of thumb, you should shoot for roughly 40" of the "working" exercise and 20" of the recovery exercise.

Grab some water, put on your favorite workout outfit/tunes and pump yourself up because YOU CAN DO THIS && I cannot wait to hear your thoughts in 20 minutes once you’ve crushed it.
