Homestyle Paleo Potato Soup
This simple recipe has been revamped from one of my favorite wintertime meals as a child and now is gluten free, grain free, dairy free!
You’re reading this and I’m officially on my last few days of the 21-Day Sugar Detox! On one hand I feel like it’s not that much different than my normal, everyday life and on the other, I feel like it’s been 1937658385683 years since I’ve had coffee or a glass of wine.
In all honesty I really don’t miss much else besides those 2 items… even the chocolate cravings have hit the road over the past few weeks and it’s pretty liberating. I wake up fully satisfied with myself, never feeling regret or remorse for eating something that left me with extra bloating around the midsection the next day and confident AF!
For me, this gain in confidence is one of the main reasons why I switched to a paleo lifestyle all those years ago. I was always looking to lose more weight, to tone up more, to look like {those other girls} and no matter how many miles I ran or how many hours I’d spend in the gym, I still wasn’t satisfied. It wasn’t until after my very first 21DSD that I felt real confidence, that I felt SEXY in my own skin. That right there, was a light bulb turning on--->>> diet has so much more to do with our overall health than I’d ever even dreamed.
I’m still not completely cured of my body dysmorphia, but I’m a heck of a lot closer than I’ve ever been before! I want everyone reading this to realize that you can feel that confidence, that sexiness too! EveryBODY is different and {healthy} is not going to look the same on any 2 people, so stop the comparison right now--->>>it’s time to learn to love the body you were given because it’s the only one you’re ever going to have.
Here are a few things I believe are KEY when it comes to finding peace and happiness with the skin you live in.
6 ways to love YOUR body
Commit to the challenge
-the first step in changing something is to admit there is something to be changed, the second is doing something about it.Remove the negativity
-unfollow any social media accounts or friends that make you feel {less than}Be mindful of the foods you feed your body with
-ditch the processed foods/added sugars--->>>buh bye chronic inflammationCreate powerful habits
-stand in front of a mirror and say {i am beautiful} 3x every single morning, walk around naked, eliminate the negative self talk, etc.Exercise regularly
-Be intentional about your exercise, don’t just workout to workout. Find something that truly lights a fire inside of you… that excites you every single time. I promise there is something out there for everyone and if you haven’t found it yet, keep looking because it’s there; walking, running, biking, yoga, crossfit, HIIT, barre, swimming, hiking, sculpt, boxing… I could continue on for days.Buy/wear clothes based on how they fit, not the number that’s on the tag
-When you’re able to feel comfortable in your clothing, you’re confidence level will rise. When you’re not worried about how tight your jeans are, you can focus on all of the other beautiful things in life.
And now for another recipe that you can feel good about feeding your body, your children and your entire family. This {Homestyle Paleo Potato Soup} has been revamped from one of my favorite wintertime meals as a child and now is gluten free, grain free, dairy free!
