Calming Bedtime Yoga Flow [12 Minutes]
Happy Wednesday, we’re halfway through another week! If you’re like me, this quarantine has been filled with a mix of good days and bad days… positive self talk and negative… sunshine and rain… water and tequila.
And while I’m as guilty as anyone else of spending way too much time on social media lately, I will say that it’s been a breath of fresh air to come across posts that put things back into perspective for me. Over the past few days, there has been a lot of talk and action taken towards canceling a lot of the fun summer activities that us Minnesotans look forward to all year long which is very disheartening if I’m being completely honest. We’re cooped up all winter long and the summertime is supposed to be our release, our freedom and now beaches are closed, our favorite events will no longer occur and who knows if we’ll even be able to even be able to enjoy patio weather with our loved ones at all.
However, this situation and all of those things I wrote of above are what we call… UNCONTROLLABLES. No matter how much frustration we feel about X, Y or Z, it really is out of our hands. What has brought me comfort personally, is focusing more on the things I can control (ie the CONTROLLABLES) versus the uncontrollables. I think this post from MaryBeth LaRue that I recently came across on IG sums these controllables up perfectly, so that’s what I’m going to leave you with today (& chill yoga flow to help you ground down and relax before bed).
