Strawberry Mango Gelatin Gummies

Strawberry Mango Gelatin Gummies

-These easy to make, low sugar, fruit gummies promote good gut health, are filled with nutrients, and make the perfect snack for both you and your family!-

Remember the fruit snacks your parents used to bribe you with as a kid? Well, sorry to break it to you, but those were basically the same as eating a sugar filled bag of candy {and maybe that explains why we all demolished the entire box in the cupboard whenever our mothers weren’t looking}.

But, how would you feel if I told you that although the store bought fruit snacks are much better left on the shelf, there are gummies that are super healthy for you! The gummies I’m talking about only contain real food ingredients such as: fruit, fruit juice, and gelatin and can be made right in the convenience of your own home!

In the {Paleo-sphere} gelatin is basically known as a super food because of all the wonderful benefits it offers:

·       Aids in rebuilding connective tissue

·       Rich in the amino acids glycine and proline

·       Promotes good gut health

·       It is a source of protein

·       Fairly easy supplement for our bodies to digest

·       Promotes hair, skin, and nail health

·       Relieves bone and joint pain

·       Can improve digestion

·       Aids in muscle recovery

·       Has been shown to decrease cellulite

·       And MUCH More!

It is for the reasons listed above and many others that I make it a point to include gelatin in my weekly, if not daily menu . Whether that’s through Gelatin Gummies, Bone Broth, or Gelatin Smoothies, I always find a way to sneak it in and my body always thanks me!

So how do I make these?

I thought you’d never ask!

Homemade Sugar Free Gut Healing Probiotic Gummies

Strawberry Mango Gelatin Gummies

Gelatin Gummies, Gut Health, Healing Gummies, Paleo, Primal, Joint Relief, Skin Care, Kombucha, Real Food, Low Sugar

·       ¾ C. Kombucha {or citrus juice}

·       ½ C. Strawberries {thawed if using frozen}

·       ½ C. Mango cubes {thawed if using frozen}

·       ¼ C. Gelatin {or for a grass fed option click here}

·       2-3 Tbsp. Raw Honey

1.     Place fruit and kombucha into a blender or food processor and puree until smooth

2.     Add this to a medium sized sauce pan and heat thoroughly

3.     Once the liquid is warmed, add in the honey and whisk until dissolved

4.     Then slowly add in the gelatin, 1 Tbsp. at a time, while continuing to whisk {if you add the gelatin too quickly, little white clumps will begin to form in your mixture}

5.     Pour into silicone molds or a glass pyrex dish {I find transferring to a liquid measuring cup is easiest for this step}

6.     Place them in the refrigerator and allow the gelatin at least 1 hour to set prior to removing them from the molds

7.     Store in an air tight container in the refrigerator and add 1-2 pieces to each meal of the day
