Meet Your 2018 Retreat Hosts!

  Britany  is a certified health coach, personal trainer, YogaBurn instructor and the face behind the paleo food and fitness blog Define Fettle.  Britany recognizes the value of daily movement and a good sweat, but throughout the years has come to realize that properly nourishing your body holds far deeper implications. She began transitioning to a real food lifestyle over 4 years ago and although it has not always been easy, she has never once looked back. By removing processed food and sugars from her daily diet, Britany has experienced digestive relief after 20+ years of struggles, and is thrilled about the amount of energy she has daily and the amount of control she has over the foods that fuel her body.  Through health coaching she is able to share this lifestyle with many others who are struggling to take control of their health and her mind is continually blown by how much can change when people simply start feeding their body right.  When she’s not coaching clients, in the studio, or creating content for Define Fettle, she loves being active doing everything and anything outdoors, experiencing all that the Minneapolis food scene has to offer and spending time with her boyfriend, Austin and golden {and mini golden} doodles, Carly and Joie.

  Elissa  is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Functional Diagnostic Health Coach, and the owner of EC Functional Wellness.  Elissa has always been into health and wellness as a college swimmer and life-long athlete. This obsession with sports and competitive nature led to unhealthy exercise and eating patterns which spiraled into a self-destructive pattern. Over years, this lead to losing her period and chronic gut infections. She learned to heal her hormones, regain her period, and regulate her digestive issues by utilizing real whole food, lifestyle changes, stress management, and functional lab testing.  Fortunately, in learning how to heal herself, she developed a passion for helping other women fix their periods and hormonal health and take control of their health. Now, she loves teaching about periods and how much of a gift they are as well as how to use your period as a vital sign and gain insight into your health status.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her puppy dog Eastwood, getting outside as much as possible, and trying new fun things like swing dancing. She also has an interest in building out a Sprinter van into an RV and the mobile lifestyle so if you know of any resources hit her up!!
