A Fit Lady's Holiday Gift Guide

A Fit Lady’s Holiday Gift Guide

A guide to creating the perfect gift for the fitness enthusiast in your life!

How it’s already December I’ll never know, but somehow we’ve already ended up in the twelfth month of year 2016! With the last month of the year comes holiday parties, trays filled with delicious Christmas cookies like these {3 Ingredient Almond Butter Cookies} and of course, lots of shopping and gift wrapping!

Personally, I love picking out the perfect gift specifically for each person on my list, wrapping it in some holiday paper, tying giant gold bows onto it and then watching the excitement unfold as the gift is revealed to its recipient. But, I know many other people who do not enjoy the {choosing of the gift} part as much as myself and that’s exactly why I’ve created this guide.

We all have that person in our lives who seems to be either exercising, testing out new healthy recipes, or drinking green smoothies the majority of their waking hours {ok, I just partially described myself} but what exactly do you get these people for the holidays?

Grab a pen and paper and take notes people because the following 10 items are sure to be on every {Fit Lady’s} Holiday Wish List!

1.     RX Bars- These are the perfect post workout snack for those who are always on-the-go. They are a protein bar made with real food ingredients and NO B.S.  plus they come in amazing flavors such as: coconut chocolate, chocolate sea salt and coffee chocolate. Can you tell I like chocolate? But really I actually think all of the flavors are amazing and well worth the purchase.

2.     Asics Fuzex Lyte- Winter months in MN always call for a good pair of cross trainers as the outdoor runs come to a halt {for me at least} and the cycle, HIIT, and strength workouts ramp up. These lightweight, yet supportive and way adorable shoes are some of my favorites yet!

3.     The Mat- So much time and research went into choosing the {perfect} mat for me and while at first I was a bit unsure of this mat, I quickly grew to LOVE it. Nice cushion, great under grip, and the best part is that it is sweat wicking! This means that you don’t have to worry about dragging along a towel to class with you, because even in the hottest yoga classes I’ve been a part of, I never slide around on this mat. {And that says a lot, because I’m a super sweaty person} This mat is a no-brainer for the yogi in your life.

4.     Trigger Point GRID Foam Roller- Because everyone could use a bit more work on their soft tissue. Foam rolling isn’t the most comfortable thing in the world, but if you’re an active individual and want to stay that way, it is extremely important to regularly utilize this tool to help maintain normal mobility and ROM throughout the body.

It keeps cold beverages cold up to 24 hours and hot beverages hot for up to 12 hours, it’s sweat proof and it comes in 12 different colors! Not only that, but it comes from a company has such a solid heart behind them and is working every day to better the environment and get clean water to people everywhere.

6.     Garmin Forerunner- A good GPS watch is crucial for a fit lady, especially when it comes to tracking mileage outdoors when warmer weather comes around. The HR monitor, VO2max, and voice prompts are great tools to help optimize training sessions, not to mention the advanced training options that are available for download right to the watch. This watch can be used both indoors and outdoors, making it incredibly versatile and a valuable piece of equipment for every fitness enthusiast.

Multiple color options are available, so buying more than 1 is definitely recommended.

8.     Patterned Leggings- Everyone likes patterned leggings, and they are an extremely popular trend in the fitness world right now. I found mine at Lululemon {my #1 favorite fit wear company} and honestly I enjoy every single type of legging they offer, so you really can’t go wrong. Grabbing a pair of leggings? Make sure you check out their {swiftly line} for the best tanks, tees and long sleeves too!

10.  Neoprene Coated Dumbbells- For those days where there just isn’t time for the gym, it’s nice to have a set of weights on hand at home so you can create your own workout, yet still benefit from the added resistance. These weights are covered in neoprene so they won't scuff up your flooring or leave blisters on your hands.
