DIY Natural Face Wash

-An easy, cost-effective way to cleanse your skin and balance your PH level naturally-

Homemade Honey Face Wash

A few months ago I wrote a post DIY Natural Body Wash and how I was in the process of cleaning out all of the toxic products from my bathroom and making the transition to all natural, chemical free products. Well, I am happy to say that as of about 1 month ago the transition is complete! At this point my products are a combination of home made and purchased, but the products I did end up purchasing (for now) are from small business owners who use top notch, quality ingredients.

Why not just you the store bought cleanser you ask?

The skin on your face is very sensitive and most (if not all) cleansers that are found in stores are packed full of chemicals, parabens, artificial fragrances, and many other ingredients that will only harm your skin. They clog your pores, contribute to acne breakouts, cause irritation, redness, and dryness. Maintaining a natural PH balance is key when talking about healthy skin. PH is measured on a scale of 1-14, 1 being the most acidic, 7 being neutral, and 14 being the most alkaline. Your skin generally is 5.5PH while face soaps, even the most mild forms are 9.5PH(alkaline). When products are too alkaline, they tend to dry out your skin and cause irritation. These high alkaline products can even make your skin more susceptible to acne as a certain level of acidity is required to reduce the growth of bacteria.  Therefore, it is highly important to not only use a neutral facial cleanser, but I also highly recommend using a natural facial toner to help balance your skins PH, reduce pore size, and many additional benefits.

I started using this face wash quite awhile ago, as this was phase 1 of my  "toxin removal project” and it’s safe to say that I’m obsessed. This face wash is literally the easiest thing to make, the ingredient list is simple, low cost, and it actually works!  My skin is not only more beautiful than ever, but this cleanser removes makeup better than anything I’ve ever tried. It has done nothing but wonderful things for my skin and I don’t think I could ever go back to conventional face wash again. My skin is smooth, radiant, and most importantly acne and blemish free.

  4. Shake the bottle every few days to keep everything mixed together
