The Twin Cities Fitness Guide {TCFG} is a collaborative effort by health and fitness bloggers Define Fettle & RunEatSnap. This guide offers reviews on the many emerging fitness studios & gyms throughout the Twin Cities area. We created this guide as a resource for you to turn to when looking for a studio that fits your goals, lifestyle, and needs, or maybe you’re just looking for a new class to try out. Plus, fitness is our JAM and after finding all of these awesome places, we couldn’t help but share them with you! We have participated in classes at each & every studio reviewed in order to give you first hand advice on what to expect when attending classes yourself.
What is Pure Barre? “Utilizing the ballet barre to perform small isometric movements set to fantastic music, Pure Barre is a total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs, abs, + arms, + burns fat in record-breaking time.”
“The Pure Barre technique is low-impact, protecting your joints by avoiding any bouncing or jumping. Each strength sections is followed by a stretching section in order to create long, lean muscles, without the bulk. The technique works to defy gravity by tapering everything in + lifting it up.”
What is Orangetheory? “Orangetheory Fitness uses the science of Heart-Rate Based Treadmill Interval Training, the efficiency of Indoor Rowing for increased power and the proven concept of Weight Training Blocks to create the fitness level and body you have always desired.” The 3 components of the 60-minute workout are: treadmill, indoor rowing (water rower) and weight training. They also had a couple stationary bikes for those people that couldn’t walk/run or who just wanted to bike instead. They have locations all across the US.
What is YogaFit? “YogaFit is about strength, flexibility, and stress management for people who love movement. It's about fitness over fashion, and finding your inner balance, beauty, and confidence. Our classes build you up physically and emotionally. Tone your body and invigorate your mind at our studios.”

What is StudioME? “We offer a variety of unique programs including: TRX Suspension Training, Bosu Balance training, Yoga, Shockwave, Indo-Row as well as small group and private training sessions. We are one of a few licensed facilities in MN that teach specialty classes of Indo-Row and SHOCKWAVE. Our classes accommodate ALL fitness levels and abilities with a focus on functional fitness to prepare you for everyday life.”

Studio ME Restorative Yoga Review
What is Restorative Yoga: “Having trouble staying focused? Falling asleep? Feel like you’re stuck in old patterns and bad habits? What is weRow: “WeRow is the first indoor rowing-only studio in NE Minneapolis. Their website says, “Indoor Rowing. A full-body endurance workout. Competitive. Intense. Team-Based. Fun. “Founded in 2008 by retired professional boxer Danny Campbell, TITLE Boxing Club Edina is a health club that packs a punch.” They offer boxing and kickboxing classes as well as personal training services. They have weights, cardio and boxing equipment available for use and a boxing ring is also an option.”
What is Yellow Barn Wellness: Yellow Barn is a family owned health and wellness studio in the suburbs of the Twin Cities specializing in various forms of yoga practice. The owners Tom + Deb created this space not only to function as a studio, but also as a small, intimate event center. The studio is on the upper level of the barn, while the main level is equipped with a full sized kitchen, dining table + living area to cozy up in and gaze out onto the beautiful pool deck.
Twin Cities Trapeze Center Review
The Twin Cities Trapeze Center offers a range of classes including flying trapeze, static trapeze, kids classes, trampoline, and aerial silks classes. They also do private events and parties.

Four Gates Physical + Energetic Culture Review

What is The SHED: “We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we DO take our workouts seriously. Solcana CrossFit takes its name from early 20th-century strongwomen – with names like Vulcana, Minerva, Athleta and Sandwina – who performed feats of physical prowess in circus sideshows around the world.
