Meet Your Retreat Hosts!

Britany is a certified health coach, personal trainer, YogaBurn instructor and the face behind the paleo food and fitness blog Define Fettle. Britany recognizes the value of daily movement and a good sweat, but throughout the years has come to realize that properly nourishing your body holds far deeper implications. She began transitioning to a real food lifestyle over 4 years ago and although it has not always been easy, she has never once looked back. By removing processed food and sugars from her daily diet, Britany has experienced digestive relief after 20+ years of struggles, and is thrilled about the amount of energy she has daily and the amount of control she has over the foods that fuel her body. Through health coaching she is able to share this lifestyle with many others who are struggling to take control of their health and her mind is continually blown by how much can change when people simply start feeding their body right.  When she’s not coaching clients, in the studio, or creating content for Define Fettle, she loves being active doing everything and anything outdoors, experiencing all that the Minneapolis food scene has to offer and spending time with her boyfriend, Austin and golden {and mini golden} doodles, Carly and Joie.

Baonhi is an editor, Pure Barre instructor, and graduate student in Management. She resides in the south metro of Minnesota, where she lives with her husband and cat. With a busy life schedule, Baonhi struggled to find time for herself. Stress overcame and health issues rose, and that’s when she decided it was time to take control. She started to educate herself on nutrition and fueling the body with real foods. Meanwhile, as she planned her wedding, she took Pure Barre classes, which unknowingly, changed her life. It wasn’t just an enjoyable workout, but it was the sense of community that stood out. A strong community of women who lifts each other up and empowers one another to be the best version of themselves. She always left the studio feeling stronger, confident, empowered, and overall—happy. It wasn’t just her “me-time” anymore, it was more than that. She took a chance and decided to become an instructor. Her passion and drive to empower women has become a huge part of her life. The mind and body connection, and the positive changes that she witnesses when she teaches enriches her soul. Pure Barre has changed her life mentally, physically, and emotionally. When Baonhi is not at the barre, school, or work; you can find her checking out Minneapolis coffee shops, backpacking and hiking the Superior Hiking Trail, or hanging out with her friends and family.

Jen is the movement-and-sweat obsessed Director of Programming at YogaFit Studios, newlywed, puppy mom, and taco lover. When Jen first stepped onto a yoga mat in a high school gym class, she instantly connected with the physical and mental benefits of the practice, as well as the extraordinary teachers and students. The Twin Cities yoga community inspired Jen to leave an uninspired corporate cube life and dive into a full-time yoga gig. Armed with her business and communication background, vinyasa yoga, fitness, and barre trainings, Jen has lead dozens of yoga teacher trainings, operated multi-million dollar studios, and developed empowering class formats for Twin Cities yoga studios. Not surprisingly, Jen’s yoga mat is one of her favorite places on the planet, and her goal is to create a "yes you can" space for students to connect with their breath, move intentionally, and find their edge by honoring their body. When she’s not on her yoga mat, she loves puppy snuggles with her red lab Lenny, playdates with her niece, Lillie, and her nephews, Brody and Brooks, quality time with her husband, Troy, and making memories at her family cabin.
